PDO Max Threads

"There Is a Thread for That™"

In 2019 PDO Max became one of a few companies who had a fully FDA cleared PDO thread-in-cannula device, which are designed and manufactured in-house. PDO Max offers one of the least invasive products to help reposition sagging skin while also stimulating collagen and elastin production to give patients defined features while maintaining a more naturally youthful look. PDO Max threads is the trusted provider of hundreds of medical practices, including ours, utilizing its proprietary FDA cleared Polydioxanone (PDO) threads in their medical aesthetics practices. Their focus is on the science of beauty, and the most effective ways to restore the indicators of health, using minimally invasive techniques that offer stunning results. Our aesthetics nurse, Teri Dial, is a PDO Max certified provider.

The PDO threads that are used at Glo Med Spa are truly cleared as a PDO in cannula device. PDO Max Threads is currently one of two companies in the U.S. that can make this claim. Their barbed threads are cut in such a way that gives maximum hold with a zero-failure rate. Training is extensive and PDO Max is the designer and creator of all of their own models that are manufactured for them.

A PDO thread lift is a minimally invasive procedure that helps tighten a person’s skin. Without the need for big incisions, unlike most facelift procedures, PDO thread lifting uses small needles to insert fine threads under the skin. These PDO threads are specially designed to anchor the sagging skin and lift it upwards. The threads also stimulate collagen production, which further diminishes the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles.

Anyone who is looking to correct lines, wrinkles, and other manifestations of aging in the face can be a good candidate for a PDO thread lift procedure. If a person’s sagging skin is under the chin and near the cheeks, the procedure is especially effective and beneficial for them.

Ideal candidates are between the ages of 30-65.

Since PDO thread lift is a minimally invasive procedure, the recovery time is quick. Most people who get this procedure done return to their normal activities after a day. Minor inflammation and bruising may occur in the first few days, but they usually resolve after two weeks.

The PDO threads dissolve after six to nine months, but their effects can last up to two years, thanks to the production of collagen.
